Automatic Gate Motors
Linear ram motors are perfect for opening swing gates. Linear ram motors are the most commonly used type of swing gate motor. They are reliable, low cost and simple to install. The motor uses a worm drive that retracts the arm which opens the gate.
An underground motor rest in a case which is flush to the ground. The arm of the motor is fitted to the bottom of the gate. These motors are discrete, so they are preferred by people who want to improve the aesthetics of their entrance. However, an underground motor is generally more expensive than a linear ram motor.
An underground motor needs additional work as part of the installation. It will require groundwork to be completed before the installation and the concrete will need to be set ready for the installation.
